The name QuEChERS stands for Quick, Easy, Cheap, Effective, Rugged, and Safe, a highly efficient method for determining pesticide residues in fruits, vegetables, and other foods.

🔹 How Does the QuEChERS Method Work?
The QuEChERS method is a dispersive solid-phase extraction (dSPE) technique, performed in two stages:

1️⃣ Extraction Phase:
✔ 50 ml centrifuge tubes are used for sample extraction.
✔ The target analytes are extracted from 10-15 g of sample by adding an organic solvent (typically acetonitrile) and a salt mixture (MgSO₄, NaCl, and NaOAc), depending on the method used (original or buffered).
✔ The mixture is shaken and centrifuged to enhance extraction efficiency.
