Ion Exchange (IEX) Columns

Ion exchange chromatography (IEX) is widely used for analysis and purification of biomolecules. YMC-BioPro ion exchange columns are specifically designed for separation of proteins, peptides and nucleic acids.

Size Exclusion (SEC) Columns

YMC-Pack Diol is available in four tightly controlled porosities and is, therefore, suitable for separation and molecular weight determination of a wide range of peptides, proteins, oligonucleotides, carbohydrates and other biopolymers with molecular weights of approx 200 to several hundred thousand.

Hydrophobic Interaction (HIC) Columns

BioPro HIC BF is designed and optimised for analysis and possibly lab-scale purification of antibodies, antibody-drug conjugates and other proteins. Optimised surface modification and column packing method realize high separation performance.

YMC offers columns packed with non-bonded silica or with silica gel modified with polar groups.

YMC-RP columns

The C18 column with 12 nm pore size is suitable for small peptides. The highest efficiency for large peptides or small proteins can be obtained by employing a C8 phase characterised by a 20 nm pore size. Also, most proteins or even antibodies are eluted efficiently with a C4 column with 30 nm porosity.

However, the separation may also be influenced by the hydrophobicity of the peptide/protein and the nature of the column’s bonded phase. 

Metal-free columns are available for improved sensitivity and peak shape of coordinating compounds such as nucleotides or oligonucleotides.

Ion exchange chromatography (IEX) is widely used for analysis and purification of biomolecules. BioPro ion exchange columns are specifically designed for separation of proteins, peptides and nucleic acids.
BioPro IEX columns are based on porous and non-porous hydrophilic polymer beads with low nonspecific adsorption. They also show higher binding capacity and higher recovery of biomolecules compared to conventional IEX columns. The completely spherical, monodisperse beads, together with optimal packing technology, provide high theoretical plate numbers and symmetrical peak shapes!

YMC-Pack Diol is available in four tightly controlled porosities and is, therefore, suitable for separation and molecular weight determination of a wide range of peptides, proteins, oligonucleotides, carbohydrates and other biopolymers with molecular weights of approx 200 to several hundred thousand.

YMC-SEC MAB is especially designed for the analysis of antibodies, their fragments and aggregates ro provide high resolution for the high and low molecular weight range.

Furthermore, YMC offers a wide range of column dimensions suitable for analytical to preparative scale separations.

The silica is derivatised with 1,2-dihydroxypropane and, with the variety of pore size available, allows analyses over a broad range of peptide to large proteins or antibodies.

BioPro HIC HT as well as BioPro HIC BF are based on a non-porous hydrophobic polymer. They are designed and optimised for analysis and lab-scale purification of antibodies, antibody-drug conjugates and other proteins.

Optimised surface modification and column packing method realise high separation performance. High-throughput analysis with a faster flow rate can be achieved together with a high resolution using BioPro HIC HT. The rigid particle provides higher pressure tolerance compared to other HIC columns, which allows higher flow rates and therefore shorter analysis times.
